If you are taking inventory first:
To add a single item and enter its details, click ‘Add item’
To add many blank entries, and fill out details later, click ‘Add items in bulk’

Categorize items with blank Aisle or Status properties, and you’re all set!

If you are starting with recipes:
Click ‘Add recipe’ to open a blank recipe entry in sidepeek
Fill your recipe’s ingredients by clicking on the empty slot for Ingredients, and typing in the ingredients needed for that recipe.
Go through the ingredients and add remaining details by clicking on each item (this opens the detailed page for the ingredient)

After having filled out ingredients, you will see the status ‘Rollup’ property fill out, and all that’s left is adding a URL if applicable, and planning your meal in the last step!
